What a week it’s been. I have just arrived back from Graz, in Austria where I won two awards at the Europrix Multimedia Top Talent Award 2008. I won in the ‘Mobile Content’ category, then went on to become the ‘Overall Winner’. This was all a great shock as I was up against 278 fantastic projects from 29 different countries.

To view the award winning project, please visit www.wheretoclimb.co.uk. You may find it easier to view the guided video tours that can be found by following this link. If you have any questions on the project please get in touch vie the contact page.

Welcome & C.V

Welcome to my portfolio. My name is Luke McSorley, this site aims to showcase some examples of my work. Some of the work you will see was submitted as part of the final year of my degree.

I graduated this year from Staffordshire University where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours, in Interactive Multimedia. I am now currently looking for work, mainly in the London area.

I have a wide range of skills, but am mainly interested in getting into Flash Development quite possibly in the Advertising Industry. As well as Flash / Flash lite and action script, I also have knowledge in html, css, some php, Photoshop and Illustrator. As well as my software knowledge I am also a keen photographer.

Just Me

I am 23 years old and am from Northern Ireland, where I currently live although I hope to move to London to work. I graduated on the 27/06/07, then shortly after I went travelling around Peru. Since being back from there I have been working part time as an Outdoor Pursuits instructor, for a centre called Ganaway. I was also recently away to The Lakes with my fathers company The Outdoor Fox, where we were supervising and assessing a group of 17 year olds completing their Gold Duke Of Edinburgh Award.

I am a keen Mountaineer and have gained my Mountain Leader qualification, enabling me to take groups into the mountains anywhere in the UK and Ireland. As well as mountaineering I am also interested in music, and have for many years (slowly but surly) been teaching myself to play the Guitar. I also enjoy literature both reading and the odd streak of creative writing.
